Pays well, with bonuses, RSUs, ESPP and company match, especially given recent stock runup. Great people (VMware division). Projects can be interesting. Brilliant CEO (but layoff happy).

Flexible and remote work: The company was an early adopter of flexible work, with many employees having options for fully remote or hybrid arrangements. This was part of a larger "Future of Work" initiative, allowing employees to choose a work location that best suited their personal and professional goals. Strong learning and development culture: VMware was known for providing ample opportunities for professional growth. It offered resources for career development, skill enhancement, and learning new technologies, which was highly valued by technical staff. Note: Above points about VMWare and I am not sure after Broadcom acquisition.
