      Pros

      Seemed like a company that genuinely cared about it's employees and employee moral. Compensation is pretty good. Benefits are good. Education is supported and encouraged.

      Cons

      There is little opportunity for advancement if you work remotely and not at the corporate headquarters. Layoffs are dictated by the market. You have a stable job until the day you don't.

      Too big for their own good, made a mess of the Foundry acquisition.

      Pros

      FC market is still growing, that is their bread and butter. Try to do things in a big company way, nice new campus, gym facilities onsite. Bonus is good at times because of good profit margins.

      Cons

      Stagnation, engineering is riddled with politics and favoritism. You cannot grow unless you play the favoritism and become a yes-man. Engineering VPs will make you work weekends just because they need to look good. Any growth and career opportunities are stifled by immediate managers. HR policy is not conducive to move within Brocade.
