      Milking the SAN cash cow, but for how long?

      Pros

      Great track record in SAN market. Used to have solid engineering team - most of the talent which helped company fend of Cisco in SAN market has left now.

      Cons

      Disastrous execution in Ethernet switching. Combination of poor strategy and even worse execution has resulted in little/no traction in new markets like data center ethernet even though the company had strong SAN customer base it could leverage.

      Very active development with potential to work on many areas. Top performers are rewarded for their efforts. Overall, the work environment is good.

      Cons

      Need to streamline development environment to make things easier to do your job. Everyone wants to be a manager, but many do not have the skills to be an effective manager.

      Good technology. Good place for anyone who like fast innovation technology.

      There were multiple management layers in Support. Most senior managers were clueless of what was going on on the floor, and micro-managing tech support engineers.
