      Pros

      Technical teams are competent and helpful Pay is probably above par in the industry Non-managerial work staff are competent

      Cons

      Too sales focused, always forget that it is technology that they sell Upper management conservative and clueless Unless you are in the upper managements inner circle, you will find it tough

      Pays well; reasonably good benefits; market leader; good location in Silicon Valley; good products; don't need to be a superstar or work horrible hours; many good co-workers

      Cons

      Lots of politics; weak upper mgmt; surprisingly weak middle mgmt; forced vacations at Christmas and July 4th; no strong vision; typical Silicon valley company which rides a wave but can't catch the next set

      Pros

      Salary is very attractive compared to industry standard. Much higher than average.

      Cons

      The purchase of Foundry Networks has started a downward spiral of this company. It was Brocades forward thinking and great treatment of employees that kept them wanting to work there. Ever since the acquisition of Foundry it is all about IP with Foundry management now running the show. This is probably great if you are an ex Foundry employee...If you are classic Brocade...not so much!
