"Great for investors, not so for employees"

Pros

Consistent bonuses, and a pretty decent ESPP for a while. I work with some really smart and fun people!

Cons

Where do I begin? New management hasn't shown the ability to improve shareholder value by increasing revenues from sales. Instead, it's all one-trick-pony cost reduction, heavily reinforced by offshoring (which they seem to be very proud of). Morale is at an all-time low since I came here ten years ago, and attrition is very noticeable and having a detrimental impact in engineering.

Pros

Great people. Good benefits (401k, ESPP, Bonus Program). The products are great and fun to work on. You will learn a ton if you are just starting your career.

Cons

-Understaffed in my particular group -Workers who excel are not rewarded enough to stay at company -Lazy workers not held accountable

Really nice facilities, People are good and have good intent. Low amount of politics at worker & manager level

Cons

Stove pipe culture is horrendous. Was exasperated by many of leadership team being in same role for too long. Everything has to get approved up the chain. New management is clearly trying to artificially raise the stock price with no concern of employees. No communication down, or listening to experts. Future is questionable, as they need to find a way to migrate customers from Hardware to virtual networks while Cisco works to delay or acquire dominant position
