Business Outlook
Pros
Good executive management. Company making good acquisitions and planning for the future. 2X year bonus program. ESPP is good, benefits pretty good. Work-life balance is good in Broomfield, CO, office - not so much in San Jose.
Cons
Tight budgets. Lots of offshoring and outsourcing. 401k match is only $3k year. 2X year forced holiday shutdowns (X-mas and July 4th week - some view this as a pro). Vacation/flex time average with plateau between 4-9 years service. Doubts about the longevity of the cash-cow fibre channel business, and ethernet/wireless growth has yet to appear. Last merger with Foundry Networks was badly bungled. Just bought Ruckus Wireless, but too soon to tell on results.
