Expected more, it’s a let down

Pros

Free food can’t deny the obvious

Cons

Not the best hiring process, they identify skill gaps and recruit like for like to fill the gap, gain for the company but super sad for the new talent since they’d be doing what they already know hence less growth and opportunities to learn for them. Can be smokes and mirrors due to the excitement to join Canva, unfortunately you won’t be walking out as someone more mature in you skillset. No diversity in my team.

Inner circle cliques & workplace bullies

Anonymous employee

Pros

Pays well, nice offices, good external brand

Cons

Inexperienced leaders who rose to the top due to luck and/or being part of the inner clique. This was resulted in destructive workplace bullying, overworked & disempowered employees.
