      Pros

      The flexibility around work hours and location is second to none. There’s genuine care for employees and doing the right thing by the team. Lots of room to innovate and constantly improve - it’s really an expectation of your role. It can be easy to forget what (work)life was like before I worked here, and whenever I’m reminded of it I feel an enormous sense of gratitude for Canva, the care they've shown me and the growth I’ve experienced in my time here. Even on my “worst” days here (they don’t happen often!) I can’t imagine working anywhere else.

      Cons

      We’re still experiencing growing pains from hypergrowth, which is to be expected given the rate Canva has expanded. Experience can be somewhat coach-dependent, and I’ve heard it can vary based on who you report to. There’s a lack of consistency in promotion and lateral move processes - it seems the more senior leaders are just appointed to new roles and aren’t required to jump through any hoops like the rest of the team.

      Light work load Teammates are genuinely good humans Being able to tap into a great network of people

      Cons

      Ever changing organization structure and uneven distribution of workloads. Unclear roles and goals No career growth and very little salary increase. Usually someone has to get pregnant or quit in order for someone to get promoted. :(
