Pros

Training provision is good Customer-facing staff are hard-working and highly competent

Cons

Review process (My Path) is completely unfit for purpose. Very top heavy with senior management It's not enough to excel in your role - you will not get any recognition or promotion. You have to play the corporate game to get raises or promotions. The shady "calibration" meeting which set a person's grade for the year are vehicles for senior managers to rewards their pals and those empty vessels who are most vocal within "the community"

Thanks for taking the time to post a review. It’s good to hear that you’re making the most of the training on offer at Capgemini, and that you’re working alongside some really hard working and highly skilled colleagues. We acknowledge that you are uncomfortable with your experience of your performance review. Capgemini is very open and there is the opportunity to speak to your manager or to HR, we would encourage you to explore these routes.

Pros

Please don't treat employees just like a head count.

Cons

The following may happen to you in Capgemini, Pune, India : >> Even after they give you the offer letter with a joining date, they is no guarantee that they do the on-boarding on that day. They may post-pone the joining in the last moment. In my case, they post-pone it after I released from my previous company. >> Even if you join, there is no guarantee that they will give you a project (with their client). Finding a project is your responsibility or luck. >> Even if you join a client, after the project is completed, there is no guarantee that you will get another project. Finding another project is your responsibility. >> After released from your client project, if you don't arrange another project for yourself on your own, they will ask you to leave. This is my own experience.

Thanks for taking the time to post a review and I’m sorry to see you’re not happy in your role. You’ve said that you’ve been with Capgemini for more than ten years and are still a current employee – has something specific happened recently to make you change your opinion of Capgemini as a company? Have you reached out to your HR representative to discuss your situation, or if you’re not comfortable speaking to HR directly have your considered contacting our Employee Assistance Programme? Contact details for the EAP are on the company intranet and any conversations you have with them are completely confidential. We’d really like to hear more about your specific situation so that we can see what more we can do to help and support you. Our UK Director of Recruitment, Neil Denton, would also be very happy to talk to you if you feel comfortable contacting him.
