Pros

Work from home occasionally and can set your own 8 hour day as long as it encompasses 9am to 3pm

Cons

The most toxic management I have ever worked for

Pros

-Pay is reasonable -401k match is decent -Management has generally been not overbearing/easy to work for and with -Decent corporate culture

Cons

-Tuition reimbursement plan is pretty poor--seriously, Taco Bell pays up front and more per calendar year. Taco Bell. -Management plays musical chairs every year leaving employees without a lot of direction until new management establishes goals and plans. -Very evident that they take much advantage of the H1B Visa program to hire/underpay many foreign workers. -Performance review process is poor, making managers fight for why their employee is better, and when added with musical management, I've had years where I've been reviewed by a manager I had for only two months of the previous year. Or have been reviewed by a manager who is no longer my manager--why would he fight for me? -Benefits aren't anything special. -Raises are tiny when you are anywhere near the salary cap for your position. Salary cap isn't floated with cost of living. -Social events (eg employee appreciate parties) are pretty poor. Related perks (eg they sponsor lots of stadiums) are pretty non-existent. -Not lots of opportunities for promotion within.

Pros

9-5 Good health benefits 4 mos maternity leave, tho they prorate and keep yearly bonus if you take the leave

Cons

-All white male leadership bro club atmosphere. Gave feedback to female creative directors like "perhaps if you smiled more and were more friendly to the (male) leadership team, you could be considered for promotion." -Had very abusive and toxic GCD in place, with over 50 complaints in HR - leadership did nothing about it. Protected him because it "made them look bad if they report someone to HR that they had put up for promotion". -Had very toxic Director in place, lots of HR complaints, did nothing about it -Women creatives of all levels are hired in lower than their level of expertise and have to fight for years to get menial promotions, and fend off feedback like "perhaps if you spoke less in meetings and took notes/smiled more/got a (male) mentor". Meanwhile, men were hired in at top roles, top pay, and promoted faster and more often. -Performance mgmt was a popularity contest, not meant to set people up to succeed or learn -Creatives who spoke up about the toxic culture and lack of diversity in the creative depts, were re-orged and managed out of jobs. -Creative dept ultimately hired an outside consultant to come in and help with morale and issues - after report was issued and very serious charges logged, no changes made, all-male leadership still in place.
