Pros

Day one benefits, salary, location.

Cons

C1 thinks that passing out Jolly Ranchers, rolling around snack carts and catering in food keeps employees happy. SO NOT TRUE! Trainers are two-faced and play favorites! They insist that their "Half-assed" training methods are sufficient for learning the job! They put extreme pressure on brand new employees while in the "Nest" meaning, training while on the production floor. Not guaranteed to compensate employees for time worked before they've separated from the company. Pretty much have to fight for your money. "CUSTOMER SERVICE ON STEROIDS," as they call it, is a joke! QA (Quality) marks off for every little detail. It's like they set people up for failure right from the start!

Pros

Lots of contract opportunities when nothing else is available in town.

Cons

Very high turnover for both contractors and employees. The place is a heartless meat grinder. It is important to trim low performers, but frequently the CapOne pruner seems to be random. Their recruiting process seems to target aggressive and arrogant people. The performance management process keeps people on their toes, but also creates destructive politics and incentives (making your colleges look bad makes space for yourself higher up in the rankings).

Pros

Benefits are good and some perks such as working remotely (if you work for the right manager) help maintain work life balance. You'll work with many smart people who you'll learn from; most everyone is amicable and interested in getting things accomplished.

Cons

Tremendous lack of communication from management regarding direction of company. Very political - if you aren't good at promoting yourself and getting the right notice during meetings you will go nowhere. Doing your job well is not enough to get promoted nor is it rewarded. Understand in advance that your job is not secure. If you are promoted during the year, expect to get a poor review when you are first evaluated at that new level.
