Management has no clue

Recommend

Pros

the actual people that work in the branches are nice and the hours of the branch are not that bad. Tons of training to learn something new. Health plan and dental are great.

Cons

Upper management really doesn't know how to succeed. There is no room for advancement because all the hiring for Branch Managers are always from other banks. With the Assistant branch managers being laid off last year, there is no place to go after you are a banker or a lead teller but to move to another bank for a higher position.

Pros

Great employee benefits, work/life balance is heavily skewed toward the quality of life side, smart co-workers, pleasant working environment

Cons

Feels like a very large company, growth opportunity depends more on timing/situation than talent, some logjams of Director/Sr. Directors that aren't moving up or out and prevent the growth opportunity of those around

Pros

benefits are the best thing about this job. the tuition reimbursement was really good.

Cons

the managers are sour people. They mess up big and cover it up or blame it on people below them. the pay is very low compared to others.
