Pros

- Great training that is interactive and fun - Amazing people that want to help you learn and grow your career - Cisco itself is a great brand in most IT shops regardless of segment, so having doors open are much easier than with a lesser-known/valued company - Great pay!

Cons

- All large companies can sometimes give you the feeling of being just a number, and during commit calls that is a feeling. (If you actively build your network it isnt too bad) - Typical stress of a sales job. Make sure you know your business and add pipeline! - If you want upward mobility Cisco has it, but you will most likely need to be open to moving locations or segments if you want to continue going up the management chain

Pros

Cisco overall is an amazing company with an unbeatable culture and work-life balance. It can be difficult to navigate a company like Cisco with such large and sometimes-siloed functions, but everyone is so open to knowledge-sharing and helping with internal movement. After spending 2 great years in Marketing, I realized I wanted to work in Cisco Sales, and recruited into CSAP (Cisco Sales Associate Program), CSAP itself is a world-class training program with unmatched opportunities for career progression for talent so early in career. I couldn't recommend it highly enough to anyone in college looking to step into tech sales after graduation.

Cons

Overwhelmingly complex products & solutions, as well as internal processes. Some of these issues are just a result of being such a large company and are not unique to Cisco, but Cisco definitely knows how to overcomplicate things.

Pros

1. I experienced the most comprehensive training as a graduate. Before joined in Cisco, I know nothing about network and data center. Cisco invested on all CSAP to receive the best training in IT industry. 2. Work culture here is very open-minded. You can have happy hour with your manager and chat with your seniors. Any feedback is welcome in cisco. 3. mentorship is a good culture in Cisco. My mentors are experienced sales. Besides the training content, my mentors' words are also important to me. Mentors' experience is the best local sales case study. 4. The whole CSAPers is a big family. you will have chance to know your colleagues from all over the world. I experience the family union culture in cisco. This is very very vital for young people especially for someone likes to social networking.

Cons

I work in APJC area, personally speaking, the business model is different from America. What you have learned in CSAP training will be probably a little different than the real world. But keep learning, don't settle!
