Pros

Great company culture 90% of folks are on the same page Very transparent on all levels The best benefits and perks I've experienced Your team has your back Managers have a mindset of working for and supporting their team PTO accrual and approval is the easiest ever You can take PTO whenever you need it Time to give is a great volunteering time offered by Cisco for us to engage in community work, who even does that!! This is awesome! The CEO Chuck Robbins and the ETL team is simply amazing and they listen An over all autonomy of work is practiced Great work like balance and it is encouraged if you happen to be a workaholic. Overall comradery still exists in Cisco, Cisconians actually care for each other.

Cons

The work can sometimes have longer time lines due to processes being in place and it may seem like a slow moving ship sometimes, at the same time processes mean consistency and hassle free audits in the larger scheme of things. The salaries are market average however there are so many other factors that out weight the salary aspect.

Pros

Cisco has been rated multiple times as the best company to work for in the world. There are many diversity groups to join, volunteering is actively supported, and people are always friendly and nice to each other.

Cons

Coming from a more services and process-focused company, I found the engineering process chaotic. There are many teams due to acquisitions over time. Every team uses a different tool and many internal processes are lightly documented if at all. Getting a technical document with an author, date or version on it is a rarity. This seems to be taking agile software engineering to the extreme edge of chaos!
