Pros

Cisco has been rated as the best employer anywhere in the world several times in recent years. The focus on culture quickly made me realize that I had been working in toxic workplace cultures for years without really realizing it. Cisco attracts a huge depth and breath of talent, so are likely to working with some of the best minds in the industry.

Cons

As an engineering program manager joining Cisco, I was initially expecting a more process driven culture. Cisco has many product groups, some based on acquisitions. Every group seems to use a different set of tools, templates and documentation standards. This means there is a little bit more overhead in managing technical teams if programs bring together engineers from around the organization.
