Pros

Work life balance can be OK with a good Manager. Cisco still is a Global leader, the CEO's vision of the Internet of things was correct and he was ahead of his time. There are some good managers and V.P.'s. The benefits are decent. Ability to work from home and flexible work hours can be good. Some smart people there.

Cons

Not much of a promotion path, Too much politics. Cisco wants to be the best IT company, but they do not offer the best pay, The HR system and review system are not helpful. The acquisitions and mergers have been anything but smooth. IT is was to complex and bureaucratic. The benefits, food, and pay are not on par with many other companies. I worked there years and watched very few people get promoted. If you hit some big milestones and worked at Cisco long enough you where given glass balls (no joke) as a thanks for your dedication and hard work.

Management, Culture, Work ethics. It is the best place I ever worked. The team and also higher management is the best.

Cons

None. There is nothing to be advised by me. I am so very happy the way things panned out for me at Cisco.
