Pros

If your manager buys into the Cisco People Deal, they will support and mentor you, treat you fairly and you’ll have a genuinely amazing experience.

Cons

If your manager DOESN’T buy into the Cisco People Deal, Cisco will never get rid of them. Way too many awful middle managers.

Pros

Good people, good culture, good package, great CEO. If you fit in you can happily work here for a very long time and have a solid career as long as you dont get caught up in very frequent reorg cross fires.

Cons

In recent years as a consequence of new management cost cutting and reorgs are a frequent thing now in an attempt to stop the bleeding on the revenue side . Many jobs gone or migrating to cheap labor locations around the globe and seem to impact in particular the more experienced demographic in Europe. Site strategy changes can mess up long standing careers easily. Dont expect loyalty based on your seniority with or contributions to the company.
