Pros

Pay is decent but not as high as other tech companies around the area. 401k matching, fairly good health benefits, WFH and working remotely are available to most employees, but it depends on your team and manager. Its a great place to start your career but most early in career people leave to other tech companies after 2-3 years. Cisco doesn't do a good job of retaining some of their top talent. This is a perfect company for those with a family and like a lot flexibility. Most departments are pretty relaxed and hardly ever hit 40 hours of work a week

Cons

Overall there aren't too many cons. The two biggest issues I see is a lack of merit increase each year. Some people can stay at their same salary for 5 years. Promotions are fairly hard to get if you don't play politics. Saw a lot great talent leave when they didn't get recognized. The only other major con is upper management. There are too many directors and senior leaders that care more about their bonus and don't focus on the bigger picture of doing whats best for the company.
