      Pros

      Good work / life balance options makes Cisco a good choice for a wide range of people. If you want to be a mover and shaker: put in the time, put in the effort and you will (most likely) be rewarded for it. If you want to coast for a while that's typically possible as well. Benefits are decent. Most folks are professionals.

      Cons

      Depending on the personality, Cisco might not fit your risk/reward profile. I would consider it to be a fairly conservative career move at this point.

      Pros

      I work from home 100% of the time which allows me to maximize work / life balance. It is nice to be treated like they trust you.

      Cons

      I've never had a manager that I felt "advocated" for me. It is a very political environment which I found to be demoralizing. They provide the benefits that I think any company should (medical, visual, dental, 401k, etc). I thought it was still very expensive for the employee; I've had much better at smaller companies.

      Pros

      it is a big company, benefit is good. coworkers are professional. Job is not too stressful, job security was good, but not any more.

      Cons

      you do the same thing every day, after some time, not chanllenging enough. a lot of office politics you have to play.
