      Cisco hasn't a clue with WebEx.

      Pros

      Offered good experience in SaaS software.

      Cons

      Top and next level management at WebEx are clueless. They bounce back and forth like a ping-pong ball. They are unable to develop and execute cohesive product roadmaps, yet they fool themselves into believing they can. Employees are discouraged from bringing up "sensitive issues" to management. Employees are encouraged to "not rock the boat." Marketing department is unable to commit to project deadlines, yet blame this on others all the time. Take responsibility for making things happen? That's not a Cisco WebEx strongpoint.

      In the ten years I have worked for Cisco, I have seen it go from a young gun to a bloated, top-heavy fat cat.

      Pros

      Telecommuting and time off flexibility. Kudos in company name, for the moment. Fantastic people to work with. Some managers are truely excellent, but they're fewer and farther between.

      Cons

      Major politics, with too much empire building and protectionism. Lack of clear focus, with random brain farts of management converted to policy. Cut back in employee training and peer network development (ie trade show attendence) is extremely short-sighted. Innovation is stunted by need to keep management happy. Middle management are just out to keep their slice of pie, and not rock the boat.
