      Pros

      Flexibility - management very open to remote workers; can take time off when needed People - I am blessed to work with a very strong team, both in the immediate group as well as the extended team; these folks are extremely dedicated

      Cons

      Career advancement - little focus on hiring internal employees for open jobs; starting to get better Benefits - no big difference from other companies of this size To make game-changing decisions, you have to go through too many layers of management

      Pros

      Cisco's vision as communicated by John and the rest of senior leadership is one that engenders hard work and loyalty "Change the way the world works, lives, plays, and learns." There are plenty of smart people and plenty of long hours...rewards are good, not great. Interesting work most of the time.

      Cons

      Lots of smart people and long hours make the competition for jobs and promotions fierce, especially if you're gunning for Director or above. Typical fast pace and lots of ambiguity to deal with.
