Pros

Cisco Systems is a big brand and has an amazing culture. The flexible timings, working from home option and less work burden makes it an idle place to maintain a work-life balance. Though it doesn't have much additional benefits (perks) but the campus is amazing and I really enjoyed my stay there.

Cons

Since Cisco is a big company, the growth opportunities are very less. The review cycle is not very effective and the overall salary and other benefits are comparatively low.

Pros

Technology you get to work on is top-end. It is not just a support site for the US office unlike many other product companies. The work culture is nurturing and allows you to grow without suffocating you with politics. The managers are understanding in your needs.

Cons

Appraisals usually do not reflect the performance although the hikes are good enough even though the ratings aren't that great. There is not much emphasis on work-life balance.

Pros

Wonderful office - one will fell in love once they see it work life balance. time off when in need. extra-curricular activities - WAN, singing, contests, technology programmes and goodies. Very nice transportation and infrastructure. Food is pretty nice. Learning vision for children till 5 years of age - kind of day care and school. Very nice people and managers in India. A very good place to get networking and work with people from different areas. If you are in support, you get a chance to meet people in different departments and create networking. blr-masala is spice - An exclusive Cisco community. About work - it's good to learn new products and applications, however, when you are in support get less exposure, that means no career growth outside Cisco.

Cons

Don't join as a contractor - most of the people are partner based in Cisco. Don't get tempted by salary. it's good to join Cisco as regular employee than contractor or Partner. No performance reviews. US management has taken lead over India management. If you are in US, you have better opportunity to grow and learn, both career wise and inside the company. Not all contractors can become regular employees of Cisco. So be aware with all the terms and conditions. Politics -> but which company doesn't have it in India. So, it's okay in my understanding. Less growth. If you want to become a manager in Cisco, being a Cisco-ite not possible. Join some other company become a manager and then join Cisco as manager if possible. Climbing the hierarchy is not simple in Cisco.
