      Pros

      -Tremendous resources -Good bonuses -Good legacy software (IOS)

      Cons

      -Very hierarchical company. Higher up you are, the more arrogant you become -Very political. You have to associate with right group -Despite being in Silicon Valley, Indian culture dominates the company to the extent that I wouldn't call it an American company. I was in a business unit where even SVP spoke Indian language to his Indian subordinates (VPs and Directors) to discuss official matters in presence of those who didn't understand their language.

      Pros

      Cisco is still a network equipment branch names from the outsider's view. The company continues to make the customers to believe in their leadership in the router/switches market.

      Cons

      In building the core software, Cisco gives priorities to politics and release deadlines instead of delivering quality software in a model approach. Middle management staff are mostly from a group ethnic group. They are more interested in their personal success than the success of the company.
