Coin-operated machine : Short term focus

Pros

Some of the most incredible people i've worked with in my career. Genuinely very high standard of employee. Truly global company.

Cons

Cisco is a coin-operated machine...if you are not in sales, then you don't really matter. Current headcount reduction is removing all strategic/business capability from the company and replacing them with sales 'bodies' to hit the numbers this quarter. This only delays the problem which Cisco will face.

Not The Same Cisco from years past

Pros

Cisco still has some solid solutions.

Cons

Management is not doing enough. Many of the senior leaders needs to go and replace with hungry people looking to make a difference. Too many leaders just resting and not innovating.
