Great work environment, flexibility and facilities.

Cons

Working in core cisco is great but working in Cisco acquired companies is not same. Increments are not the same. This includes lay offs as well.

Flexible work policies, leaves and unparalleled work atmosphere. For tech geeks, sky is the only limit Friendly HR policies, approachable staff

Cons

Due to mass migration of people from service industries to Cisco, policies are getting changed gradually Micro monitoring is gradually increasing in all the teams causing toxic environment Venomous people try poisoning the minds of superiors to play their cards. Vertical move from one grade to another is very slow due to high volume of same grade performers Top management vision is not clear and road maps are not very clear down the line Very frequent Limited Restructuring, causing anxiety in the minds of the people quarter on quarter.

Pros

Good company with solid benefits and great ability to work at home or at the office. They strive for flexibility and provide the tools to make it happen.

Cons

Company is going through a lot of realignment and change and is choosing to accomplish this through consistent layoffs each August after the fiscal year closes. Instead of retraining they fire and bring in new younger blood. The lament that not enough people leave the company each year as their attrition rate is 3% and John Chambers would like to see it at 10%. They lose a lot of good people with this approach.
