Pros

Depends on the group you work for, there is an opportunity to acquire more skills Descent pay

Cons

It is all about Indian nepotism. No chance to advance your career unless you ar indian. Senior management are fake about what they call "diversity" which means for them to hire dependent and underpaid H1B workers so they could make millions every year. Severe bias and discrimination across all levels

Pros

When engineering was more diverse before round after round after round of 're-structuring' work/life balance used to be decent.

Cons

In Engineering, if you are not part of the 'in crowd' (aka Indian) you will quickly notice the politics around you. There are issues with upward mobility, projects you are given, and if you refuse to work nights and weekends you are seen as "not doing enough". Also, you can tell by working with others that many people got their jobs simply from being being connected to another Indian.

Pros

Pays reasonably well...if you are not that bright, you can survive for ever in Cisco, place is full of dead weight so you'll fit right in.

Cons

Work is not interesting, people can be downright hostile, raises/rewards have no relation to the work you put in.
