      Pros

      good benefits good campus work is good if you are in good team or mostly its maintenance. cisco Bangalore is no research center.

      Cons

      management is not transparent. lot of politics. if you are not in good books of your manager then hope to see your name in layoff list next year for sure. be a slave to your manager and you well get by. cisco is not the place it used to be. layoffs at year end has become a tradition now. so beware of cisco if you are looking for a stable job. you will find yourself on your tows always and there will be always a sword hanging over your head.

      Good software development experience at Cisco

      Pros

      Big company with decent benefits and opportunities to work from home. Good talent with lots of software experience.

      Cons

      Little training allowed during the job (not enough time or department money for classes). Manager turn over is very high (I've had more managers than years worked there). Hard to see direct connection to customer with products you are working on (too many layers of people in between). Yearly layoffs with little concern for talented people affected has created a bad morale situation.
