Pros

Bright offices, global team, generally friendly people. Social committee is very active locally. Starting pay probably higher than elsewhere. Work life balance very good, opportunity for remote working on a regular basis. Tech is just OKAY for supporting this.

Cons

Expensive parking. Performance reviews not transparent and left as an after thought. Pay rise and bonus in first year are laughable. No support for development from management. Management are over worked and very poorly trained leading to high turnover and team morale at an all time low

Pros

Fairly independent work environment, get your portion done each day and no one will bother you really. Pay is decent, nothing special unless you come in with above average work experience.

Cons

Growing/moving pains as Citi pulls many roles out of NYC and moves to Buffalo. From what I've heard, they figured out they can pay someone to do the same job in Buffalo much less than someone in NYC. Rare to get a quality manager, most are overworked and extremely on edge/irritated. Advice: ask meaningful questions during interview to learn about your manager to see if you'd fit under their team.

Pros

Came in as a graduate and received 8 weeks of training on capital markets and technical areas: basic java, SQL, python etc. Goof pension contribution Bupa Health Care

Cons

Very corporate, very much a case of having to be seen to do things by the right people if you want a promotion. They expect you to work unpaid overtime as and when needed. Moral is generally pretty low. Graduates are often neglected once they've completed training.
