The company is absolutely not too large to fail. The sheer size of the company allows for pockets and layers of extremely poor management to thrive using outdated, archaic management practices and defeat all attempts to improve the company with new ideas and technology. Entire departments and divisions led by poor management can self destruct before management layers high enough up to do anything about it even notice. Employees who come in from other more successful companies with far superior best practices and ideas are easily shut down and soon ushered out the door because these poor layers of management "know better". It is easy for these poor managers to hide what is really going on (if they are even competent enough to be aware of their mistakes) due to the size and complexity of the company. The scary details in the weeds are hidden by flashy (actually poorly done) PowerPoint slides with graphs and pictures.

Some people seem to get promoted on nothing other than who they know despite failing in their jobs - its a disgrace. People who fail audits should be sacked - there is one person in EMEA who gets aways with it - surely this is against all good business principles - I guess when they do sack hime he will get a pay - off...
