Process Kills any Technical Innovation / Terrible Issuer CTO

Pros

- Good Pension and Healthcare

Cons

- Salary is well below market rate - Entire Company works in a siloed manner - You can spend days and sometimes weeks getting answers from teams - So many overarching processes in place mean that from Project Management through to delivery, timelines are bloated due to overbearing process and documentation. -Process mostly means that the 'best' solution is avoided due to the time it will take to implement. - New Issuer CTO is making people leave in droves after a mere 6 months in office. Forces staff to continually meet astonishingly unrealistic deadlines, has no idea how to lead a tech team, and terrible interpersonal skills. Citi as an employer really should have read CTOs reviews at his previous employer Wilson Elser before employing him. Will be the ruination of Issuer Services Technology. - New Hybrid 3 day week policy means that we cannot hire staff and existing staff are leaving to take up remote roles. Citi have refused to engage with staff on the matter.

Pros

Citi offers wide range of really good benefits

Cons

There’s a lack of communication when you’re at an entry level job. You’re supposed to be able to lean on your managers for support, but that doesn’t always happen. Citi cares more about productivity than they do their employees well-being. They make a big deal about how they like to promote within, however they don’t help you get to that point. If you’re a good employee you have to pick up everyone else’s slack. Citi was a much better company before COVID started, but since then it’s gone pretty downhill.
