Pros

There are a lot of different opportunities within Citi and these opportunities are available in a lot of different locations across the country.

Cons

Citi (and specifically the Retail Services division) is NOT great at rooting out poor managers, especially some that have been with the company for a long time. They are just moved around so that they become some one else's problem. In another instance - rather than deal with a poor employee and go through the HR process, a manager openly admitted to promoting a person so they did not have to deal with them anymore. Citi loses a lot of strong talent because of this and has to take bold steps to clean house before Citi Retail Services becomes a good and healthy place to work.

No Pros, the management in Michigan is terrible especially.

Cons

The management is extremely petty and vindictive forced a lot of people out whom they did not like for personal reasons.

Pros

Good Salary Lots of leave Big Company Big Team Job Security if you are in settled project Good for the ones who are diplomatic and know how to keep manager happy without doing any work. If you have above skill you can survive in Citi without much work. Good hike if you say "Yes" to Managements

Cons

Indian Management is not technical and purely managerial. Not having any understanding how the things under the hood works make life difficult for team. Lots of politics and people run away from doing their work and lots of blame game. Top Management doesn't understand the latest technologies and trends and just want everything to be ready in unrealistic timelines. Put lots of pressure on team members on delivery as management doesn't understand technologies Lots of process and rules , that reduced the productivity. Too many meetings. Worst Culture - more of services companies like. Most of the Indian senior management are in Citi India from Long time and mostly come from Indian services/consulting companies. So they bring the same culture of those companies. Especially Indian Management are Rude and talks very harsh language. Doesn't care employees well-being. -- Not advisable for people coming from Product Development background. Unless if you are ok to sacrifice Good work culture and learning culture for Money.
