Pros

Working for a big bank! Usually well paid positions, especially if you bring a lot of value. For the many people who are happy to have a job, you can stay there forever. Relatively good people, great company perception and commitment to quality

Cons

Working for a big bank! The layers of management is debilitating. No matter how much they continue to innovate to compete in todays digital landscape, if they dont remove the layers of mgmt, not enough will change. They will die a slow death like many banks will over the next 5-10 years. Company is so big, your essentially a number. You can do great things, and be part of a great team, but at the end of the day, they'll send you a nice email for your 5, 10 , and 20th work anniversary. When you work in an environment like this, if you leave, you were just a number. Like you never worked there. Its a weird feeling, and i know it exists at many places, but the bigger it is, the worse...

Pros

I received a good salary package with good take home

Cons

Recruiting HR is pathetic in responding to candidate. I face this during my own interview and later when i referred candidates and even when i took dozens of interviews for citi. they just wont update the candidate. Many teams and their heads are non-cooperative and rude to other teams in meetings/mails etc Communication skill of a lot of folk at all levels is poor(grammar as well as basic skilld of communication) Onboarding experience could be much better. I was not even asked if i needed laptop(i wanted to use my own machine but they should have asked) Nobody knows how to setup stuff for a new joinee. Because of impolite nature one may not get much help even if you directly ping people. Luckily i have a few friends here who helped me They expect you to work extended hours
