Pros

I worked for Citi for over 13 years and although there were times where I wasn't happy with certain decisions there are areas which need improvement I do feel that Citi is a good employer. There is a good work life balance and I feel that there is a company wide attitude that you should only work core hours if possible! The people are what make the company and there is a real sense of working together. Holidays and benefits are very good.

Cons

There is a lack of any structured training. For some people pay is not in line with industry levels. The HR department is not very good - always felt that rather than wanting to do their job they had the attitude that they were doing you a favour!!!

Pros

- Networking opportunities - Everyone deals with the same Citi wide issues so you tend to bond quite quickly with colleagues - Salary good for Belfast - Having Citi on your CV will always stand you in good stead and will give you plenty of opportunities for being headhunted.

Cons

- Long hours expected - Belfast based teams seem to pick up a lot of other regions work due to inability to complete but yet be kept in more junior C levels. - Most teams are very slow to replace attrician leavers resulting in understanding and more work for remaining employees - Inability to discuss salary with colleagues in order to obtain a benchmark/expectancy
