Pros

- HQ is nice, bonus for having a Starbucks in the main lobby - Business Resource Groups are great - Lots of good, nice people

Cons

- Sr Leadership is terrible... the smart/best employees are the ones sadly not in charge - Great junior talent but they conform to the "Citi Way" which means (1) laziness; (2) questionable integrity; (3) overpromise, underdeliver - No real company identify and strategy... outside of Bora Bora. No plan for how to further organic growth...

Pros

Big brand Hybrid work policy Flexible working hours Good work and life balance. (More life than work) Free transportation Great people to work with Very good leave policies Very good HR policies No hire and fire policy Switching job inside organization is easier than other organizations. Very good office space. Very good support from HR and Facility departments Very good hardware is provided.

Cons

Salaries are too low if considered Citi as a rank 4 bank with $1.68 Trillions of assets. You have to declare everything about your finances. Including shares and investments **every month**. You cannot work on any other thing (that makes money for you) if you are employed at Citi even if it is not related to your job. No complete work from home. No fixed place to sit. Anybody can sit anywhere which is very inconvenient. Not enough work Late night calls (till 11 pm) when you have work. Too many meetings with wrong or not-so-useful agenda. They do not keep up with latest technology. They will need another 10 years to catchup with current trends e.g. AI. Some teams are new to Agile/DevOps. People with good experience in those get frustrated. Work in silos. (Way more than other companies) There can be 3 more teams working on the same thing along with yours. C levels are confusing. People with drastic difference in knowledge and experience have the same C level. Bad support from IT department. Interview process is too lengthy. Too many apps are needed to be in Citi. Too many processes to get onboard. Too many processes are needed just to login. Too many trainings one has to go through. Too many processes to join if you have a blood relative working in Citi. Everything is just too confusing.
