Pros

I worked in a store in a different part of the country with wonderful lovely managers before my current store Colleagues are usually mostly sweet and fun

Cons

Corrupt management at least a few people up the chain in some areas (looking at you North London). Some store managers will happily throw CTMs under the bus to raise store income

Thank you for your review and feedback. We're pleased to see that for the most part you are happy with your team and managers. We've passed on your feedback so we can investigate the serious allegations you've made, but we recommend that you raise your concerns with our HR team directly. For advice on how to do this you can use the Ask Bobbi feature on MyHR.

Pros

Good pay, good discount, can be flexible. You also build relationships with the locals and regulars and they are why I mostly enjoy the role.

Cons

Often one on one on shift and there's a lot expected out of you. Online orders can be extremely busy and drivers will turn up huffing if you haven't got around to picking it yet because you're handling a queue of people. Shop lifters are an every day occurrence and the stock you have replenished that day will be gone because again, only two people on and it can get really busy. No room for progression unless you have all day availability every day. I have been asking for step up training for 7 months. I know that I can do the job, I am reliable and help out where i can. I would have been a long time server in the role but i am now looking for something else, Because I only have two days a week where I can be available all day, I'm being over looked constantly. The TL turnover is just as high as the CTMs.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and for the positive comments about pay, discount and the relationships you’ve built with customers. We appreciate your honesty about the pressures that can come with operating in a small team. We’re also sorry to hear about the safety and shoplifting issues you’ve encountered. Your wellbeing is our priority, and any concerns should be raised directly with your manager, your Ops Manager, or via our established safety reporting channels so we can take appropriate action. Regarding progression, we want development to feel accessible to everyone. Alongside conversations with your manager or Ops Manager, you can also access learning through the Development Hub and browse opportunities on our internal careers site to understand pathways that may align with your availability and goals. Thank you again for your contribution and for taking the time to share your experience.
