Pros

Good flexibility when it's come to working odd hours due to childcare arrangements following covid

Cons

Long working hours, talk a good game about mental health but actively contribute to it by poorly through through redundancy programmes which lead to more and more work

Pros

It's a job that pays the bills

Cons

Don't believe all the PR. Co-op is not an ethical company that puts people before profit. It is a corporate machine and if you have poor managers, it's a miserable place to work. The hours are long and the benefits are few and far between. Sadly I believed the spiel that they cared about their employees but really Co-op is just another big employer who's words don't match their actions. Throughout the pandemic there hasn't been soap or sanitizer readily available. This has been brought up with managers but nothing has happened. We have resorted to bringing in our own.
