Pros

1. Trainings are available for most of the technologies and are open to all. 2. Transport is OK. 3. Canteen quality varies by location.

Cons

1. No freedom to work in your area of interest. 2. Biased attitude of senior management decides who can work in which area, not your abilities. 3. Favourism is a major issue based on Gender, cast, culture. 4. Long working hours/No work life balance. 5. Your manager decides your fate here. No transperancy. There is no way to escalate your issues to senior management. Even if you do, the senior management is equally incompetent, so no hopes at all. 6. Employees are forced to work long hours unnecessarily to complete the work long before deadline so that seniors managers can take the whole credit for their own benefit. 7. No matter how hard you work, its your Lead who will take the credit and you cannot do anyting about it because of biased management. 8. Personal remarks/humiliation is a part of day to day communication here. I will not suggest anyone, specially laterals to join cognizant and have stopped referring my friends. 9. Your manager can misguide you while joining a project. The job role specified and the work you are actually doing will be a lot different and its very difficult to get release from a project if you are not your managers pet.

Pros

You may get a chance to work with big name clients.

Cons

-For a tech company you would expect to be using top notch systems, this is very much not the case. Everything about Cognizant feels incredible dated and behind the times. Every process from billing time, to requesting PTO to contacting IT support is SLOWWW and inefficient. -We give our clients advice that we as a company do not take ourselves and it is very disingenuous. -Culture is non-existent. Nothing more can be said about it. -There are no incentives to stay long term. It is very difficult to get promoted, and often promotions are given without a pay bump. Long term employees get the same, bare-minimum amount of PTO as new hires. -Do not work here unless you are looking for a job that will treat you like a data point, rather than a valued employee. Cognizant has no interest in retaining employees because they know they can replace you with a cheap, off-shore employee at any time.

Pros

Nil. Not Recommended to enter Graduate Program

Cons

- The HR do not consider your career aspirations. - Promised a training, but some people get pulled out of training to fit their client needs when there are so many people still on bench? Why never utilize the resources on bench? - Projects for graduates are bad - Create activities for everyone, but really the one enjoying the workplace and participating for these activities are the corporate team. Take a look at the pictures posted by the corporate team. Seems that only their faces appear on every event...While the rest barely enjoy their projects that is forcefully allocated to them. - Poor bonus
