Pros

** Please do not think I am writing below things out of just frustration, It is reality** IF you are not from south India- You are doomed !! Management is from South India and they always ( I MEAN ALWAYS ) Have their favorites from their community , State, Town, facial features , Girls, you just name it. If you do not know Tamil/Telgu , You are done. I have spent my prime time here and was never got promoted, because ( YES) just because I am not from the prime people of south India. Few of them can just hate you because you think Hindi should be the national language of India. Disclaimer - There are few very nice human beings I met from south India ( holds true for north as well but wanted to mention - you don't think I hate south India).

Cons

Stand In front of mirror and face yourself, and try to face your kids with the same face. And say to them be honest , If you can say that to them, I am wrong, or be ashamed on yourself.

History is repeating itself

Pros

1. Most teams are very flexible in terms of when you "clock in/clock out". So long as you are meeting your deadlines and doing your job, there is a great feeling of independence and trust. 2. I mainly work with the technical teams and you won't find more dedicated employees that will do whatever it takes to help each other. 3. TriZetto can move very slow or at the speed of light. Change is the only constant both from a technological and an organizational point of view, especially as integration with Cognizant (Trizetto's parent company) continues and expands. 4. TriZetto is a very challenging place to work. Opportunities abound for those that have a solid work ethic, a desire to grow their skill sets and their careers. 5. Very nice new building (2-3 yrs old).

Cons

Oh boy....wonder if there is a limit on the number of characters in this box? 1. Currently, history is in full repeat mode. 6-7 years ago there was a large outsourcing event that may have saved dollars, but took a tremendous toll on the existing employees. Now under Cognizant ownership, many things are happening again: valuable resources are leaving or have left and attrition is about 5-10%. Most of those positions have not been back filled at all. The ones that have been back filled are almost all Cognizant resources with barely entry-level skillsets. This leaves the remaining original resources left to do all the work. Most teams are overloaded by 200-300%. If history continues to repeat itself, the next event will be a mass exodus of those original resources that are working until their fingers bleed. Attrition will hit 15-20%. With very few people left, everything will grind to a halt. The company will lose millions of dollars and some customers will be lost forever. It will be only at this point (much too late) that the company will scramble to repair the damages. 2. Fair warning, the whole "unlimited PTO" thing is now defunct UNLESS you were hired prior to JAN 2016. New hires will get a PTO package that is slightly better than industry standard. 3. You WILL get worked into the ground if you let it happen. Some extra "stuff" here or there is going to happen, but you must be strong and unwavering in defense of your personal time. I have found that setting those boundaries early and often is the best recipe for success. 4. TriZetto is a very challenging place to work. It's not for the weak or faint of heart. 5. Very nice new building comes at the cost of no cubicles, pretty much just a standard conference table for a desk, and 6-10" high "walls" between you and others. Offices do not start until you get to much higher levels of management or technical importance.
