Unethical Unstable Company!

Pros

There's a Starbucks close to the building.

Cons

Where do I start. Management is very poor, HR is even worse. The work requires more than a normal work week and management doesn't care how many hours you work, you MUST get the job done. The turnover is EXTREMELY HIGH due to incompetent management and overworked angry employees. Don't bother voicing your concerns to HR because they sweep everything under the rug. All HR employees are ding dongs and that's being too kind. If you're smart, STAY AWAY!

Pros

It asks for a 20 word minimum but having a hard time doing that. I'd say very little Pros

Cons

I worked in Systems Integrations as contractor. They hire hire contractors frequently and evaluate within first couple months. You do well, they ask to convert you to FT. You do poor they drop you. You turn down FT, they drop you. As a contractor and employee you are not a human, you are a resource. There is no co worker comradery there, management never asks you how you are doing, or makes any effort in showing interest in you as a person. My manager sat 50 ft from me and I saw her on Day 1, one day she came over to tell me Someone thought I was doing a good job (surprised at that effort) and on the last day she saw me in lobby as turning in laptop and didn't say a word. There is a team of 20+ people assigned to one client that could easily be done with 5 people. Wasteful meetings and managers and senior team members that don't know how to delegate work. Clients are underestimated, over billed with wasteful hours and then asked to spend more money due to poor management of resources. Upper management changed some department structure and put a hold on hiring FT. I was in process of being hired FT. 3 weeks talking with HR and then I was terminated. There was no work for 2 weeks so I couldn't be non billable as contractor and released. There is no safety here even as a FT employee. I left on “good terms” and asked to apply again in the near future but I will never return. They lost a good person as I'm highly sought after.

Way too many managers, yet no accountability

Pros

They have an unlimited PTO policy. There are no limitations put on working from home.

Cons

-The Boston office is incredibly disorganized and dysfunctional. Apparently they go through a re-org about once a year, or every 2 years at most. A prior CTO, who has since been fired, made the decree that the organization should be Agile, but in Boston it's almost as if the Management read a book on how to implement Agile and then did the opposite. The company took current employees and just told them that their job had suddenly changed. This means you have people in roles that they are not qualified for, and they don't even want to be in the role in the first place. -The place is swimming in Managers. There are way too many Managers for the number of employees in the office. Most of them have no prior Management experience and it really shows. There is a complete inability to deal with any sort of conflict. If you have an issue with an employee who doesn't do their work, doesn't come to required meetings etc. you basically have no avenue to get that resolved because the person's Manager will be too scared to say anything negative to their direct report. -The healthcare insurance offered through TriZetto, a healthcare IT company, is abysmal. It is the worst health insurance i have ever had and I was embarrassed every time I was at a doctor visit and had to present my health insurance card. -The lack of accountability is laughable. People blatantly ignore deadlines, don't show up for important meetings, and ignore all processes, but they face no consequences for these behaviors. The Managers are not interested in dealing with conflict but in keeping the status quo.
