Pros

Truly cannot thing of a ONE!

Cons

India culture with digital based processing. Attempting to mandate India culture to America on a fast track, high stress, high production volume, low pay work environment, absolutely a terrible mix. Training was horrible, trainer was inadequate, unprofessional and actually came from a telemarketing background. Management was unprofessional in their culture, emails sent out to team were abusive and bullying. No personal time, no processing time and no production time to allow problem solving for clients and customers. How do Indian companies that are IT maintain , obtain and keep outsourced client companies when they cannot adequately perform and fulfill the work. Turnover for 2018 is at 74%. Most employees do not smile, are not engaged and are in a "semi-silent" state for fear of complete uncomfortability with their work environment. Cubicles are tiny, allow no freedom, short cube walls, allow no privacy, terrible work environment. Cognizant should be full time temp staffing agency, because in essence, that is what they are, and how they function, bill employers and pay employees. I would steer clear of this place, at all costs. From a production standpoint, company uses digital learning library called Live Publish, it is simply a thousand poorly organized hyperlinks, all jumbled up and lumped in cohesively together. Company mandates calls done to perfection in 5 to 7 minutes, but your typical employee, digitally trained or not, cannot even access and find policies and processes and workflow specifics to utilize that info to meet call metrics. In other words with the ISR or CSR or ASR positions which involve phone work at Cognizant, all are clearly lose/lose worker scenarios. Also, company at interview time, absolutely will not disclose desk metrics you are judged on, up front, because they know if they did, the prospective applicant, would rightfully and thoughtfully, run for the hills.

Pros

The biggest asset are the people you work with- helpful, hardworking and very friendly. Food is provided by the client, not Cognizant. 25 days of PTO.

Cons

No benefits- no paid sick leave, no pension, no health insurance. When you get promoted you will be waiting for months before they process it and increase your salary. The worst internal system to log leaves and other assets. Bonus is a joke. HR is even bigger joke. They push back all the requests. Higher management very inefficient- bunch of liars. They make decisions without taking people into account, just money. Cutting costs all the time. Go there if you want to get some nice experience with good clients and then run away fast.
