Pros

Decent Pay, good benefits, interesting industry

Cons

Constant threat of losing your job, extremely isolating work with no interest in collaboration, lack of leadership on prioritization of work, very high attrition rate, 9 out of 13 engineers on my team are actively looking for other jobs due to mandates that most disagree with.

Pros

Everything is based on the bottom line. Return for the shareholders of the parent company, Raytheon Corporation, governs all decisions. Good place to get experience. Really good benefits including 401k because of company match policy and age-related boost that company kicks into your 401k. Benefits for new parents are really good.

Cons

Company layoffs in 2020 due to pandemic affected many older employees. Diversity and inclusion could be better although the company claims to be trying. Women lacking in senior leadership.

Pros

Pay and benefits are very good.

Cons

Good old boys are powerful. Management in Annapolis and Cedar Rapids gives men complete freedom with written rules and policies not applied to them. Women held to different standards and rules that are made up as they go along. Two women reported health insurance fraud and expense report fraud activity by men in ARINC sales. The women’s positions were “eliminated” and the fraud continues. HR and Management ignore women’s concerns. If a woman brings up a concern it is handled quietly and outside HR. All concerns brought up by men are on the record and handled only if they benefit men. Exit interviews don’t happen if anything unfavorable would be said about a male employee. Men protect other men. Women are dispensable.
