Good people, grim future

Pros

- Great, supportive, talented people - Still decent work/life balance

Cons

- Great, supportive, talented people are thrown out one after another - Work/life balance is threatened - Due to the new CEO's views and politics the company becomes more and more hostile to employees while demanding loyalty - HR and business partners behave like AI, giving meaningless scripted answers even to simplest questions. No, even worse than AI, you can get some actual information out of AI with a proper prompt - Every communication outside of the immediate team adds to the feeling of uncertainty and fear for the future - No more pay indexation

Used to be great to work at

Pros

Great colleagues, international environment, good perks and decent remuneration

Cons

The company once used to be great. This unfortunately changed significantly after the arrival of the new CEO and the redomiciliation from Europe to the US. Political games, leaders with no clear vision and employees who are on the verge of burnout. Constant rounds of layoffs, with more Senior Management positions being created. Mandated RTO seems to be the only change the new CEO brought in his 1y in desk. Freezing of merit increases this year and preferential promotions granted always to the people they like and not the people that are worth it. Investment in new offices in a year that cost savings are required. C- suite leadership does not seem to be strong or trustworthy enough. No recent product innovations, keeping Criteo behing compared to its competitors.

Thank you for sharing your experience transparently. Behind every decision we make lies the ambition to support Criteo’s long-term strategy and build sustainable success for all. We firmly believe that reshaping our approach to work and business is necessary to set up new possibilities in motion and build a better future for our company and everyone in it. Trust still stands at the core of our work culture since everyone at Criteo is free to choose how they manage their time, energy, and schedule. By mixing home-office with office presence, our goal is to create a flexible model that blends the best out of both worlds to boost innovation, quality, and collaboration. We are grateful for your contribution and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

I loved Criteo for what it stood for and yes there were opportunities to change but it’s the people at Criteo who drive and live the culture and that’s special - something to be treasured

Cons

In a time where criteo needs to focus on impact performance and revenue the new CEO decides to disrupt morale by forcing office presence - maybe a focus on leadership is more adequate?

Thank you for sharing your concerns so transparently. Our people will always be our best asset! They make us who we are, and we owe them our success story. That's why we'll keep innovating to strengthen the sense of belonging across our organization, so we can move forward together as a community and as a business. For us, that's what being a people-first company is about.
