Pros

It was a very supportive friendly place to work. We had a great team at sales and lots of support from our supervisors.Supervisors tried their best and did great follow so that new hires can take on their new territories.

Cons

Very call driven, I don't think the emphasis on the amount of calls is as necessary as the emphasis on closing a deal.

Pros

Pay is OK, for the most part the peers are good people who are stuck in a difficult place, our manager feels like he is in the same boat so he tries to be reasonable, HR people are solid but can't implement change, opportunities are worldwide, great exposure to a global market.

Cons

The facts: union employees get a pension, 10 sick days per year, 10 personal days, and up to 5 weeks vacation per year management people get no pension only 401k, 5 sick days per year, 5 personal days, and up to 4 weeks of vacation per year. A union person can make around 80K per year working an average of 10 hours of OT per week, which is fairly easy to do in this business. Supervisors work an average of 50 hours per week and do not earn near the 80K range. Surveys are done internally but be careful what you say, because it comes back to you. There is no follow up on training, meetings are all reactionary and revolve around what the current hot topic is. There are some very old school managers left in the business who believe in screaming and berating their management people publicly in front of all staff, this does not work, it's 2014, surely there are better ways to motivate people. You know who these management people are, do something about it.

Not as good as Fedex or UPS.

Pros

Split shift gives you long lunches. Middle management is understanding. They have all worked their way up from being drivers too. No micro managing

Cons

Split shift driver means you get up at dawn and go home at sunset. No way to get ahead unless you want to try for CDL. Fedex and UPS pay way more and have better medical. Hope that you never get hurt on job. Lots of pressure to hit morning deliveries
