      Manager - 13yrs with the company looking for an exit door

      Pros

      Flexibility with job and home life’s. Good starter job to get your feet wet in the freight industry and nothing more.

      Cons

      Too many to list. The exodus of employees with tribal knowledge and a decade + of experience continues within the company. Company says they care about its employees and yet they don’t. Company continues to pile on the workload on understaffed departments and operations. Sales force continues to oversell and under deliver to the customers. Customer retention is driven into each employee while everyone is working hard to plug the holes of a sinking ship. To those that follow the captain to go down with the ship... my hat off to you and a safe passage.

      Pros

      Freedom, not micromanaged, pay is acceptable and large organization with world wide resources to help sell over other competitors.

      Cons

      Training needs major improvements. This is a sink or swim organization which, provides you with resources, but you have to find them yourself..very time consuming and frustrating. If you have no industry experience, you will need to have belief and patience in your ability to learn as well as develop on your own.

      It goes without saying that if a senior manager tells you something, it is inevitable that the opposite will happen. Senior Management is NOT to be trusted.
