Upper level management has no idea what they are doing, they care nothing about the workers or how the constant layoffs affect their customers. Their only apparent concern is the bottom line not realizing that a little profit now will not help when customers leave in droves because they have made it impossible to give those customer proper support due to all of the layoffs. No training, no work-life balance (thanks to more and more work being piled on the employees left with the company, no concern for the customers whose support is getting worse due to these policies and, apparently, no realization that those mistreated customers will be leaving as soon as they can.

Like all multi-nationals corporations they are always looking to save money on labor, thus the push to offshore labor. My experience with offshore labor is that they are clock watchers, and lack the cultural experience of supporting American companies.
