Pros
there really aren't any. I guess the pro would be is that you get experience working in a high pressure stressful position in which you come to appreciate how corporate greed and the "C-Level" people in the company can break the spirit of it's employees by stepping on their necks.
Cons
When there are nine layers of management in a company and even management doesn't know who they report to, there is a problem. Mark Laurie and Meg Whitman have a couple things in common. They both have inflated egos that need massaged daily by 'yes' men and women who always agree with them. This leads to a culture of bad ideas and poor management strategies. They do not give raises or bonuses. In the 4.5 years I have been there nobody on my teams received a bonus or raise, except management. They don't run projects effectively. Their cloud solution being implemented is a joke. They will never compete with AWS, MS or Alphabet cloud offerings. DXC is not a hardware company anymore, that is HPE. The services industry is going to shrink with people moving their systems to the cloud and with DXC not even having a seat at the grown ups table, this company will continue to lay off people until they are a glorified staffing firm that rents assets to customers. IT Services based companies are in trouble and if you want to work for a company that does not treat employees and nothing more that expendable assets, please join this doomed company. There are people here who have not received a raise in over 10 years. Who treats employees like that? DXC. While not providing employees bonuses or raises or bonuses, the upper management received multi million dollar bonuses year after year and then paid spin off merger bonuses to Meg Whitman and Mark Laurie, that's what they are always smiling. While it is still listed on their site as a perk, tuition reimbursement was taken away. Don't expect it to return. There is NO job security. People come in two days before pay day and they are told they are done the next day and to bring their equipment back into the office. Some of there people had been here for years. They are offshoring their work force. They are bringing people in to fill positions from India and keeping them here long enough to get a social security card and then sending them back to India. This allows them to get cheap labor while employing US citizens. It's a backhanded loophole they found to lower costs. The teams are being forced to implement solutions that will put them out of work, I.e. Automation systems. There is no morale anymore. Employees are not happy. People are always looking for now jobs. Management is out of touch with employees. They 'encourage' you to work in an office, even if you are two hours away. They were getting badge scan reports for employees and threatening firings if they weren't in the office. It was a bogus attempt to build a collaborative emvironment, everyone knew it was to reduce workforce and to have an excuse to lay people off without having to pay severance packages.
