Pros

Some managers care, but their hands are tied by corporate bs

Cons

Where to start? The company is a mess from top to bottom. I worked there for two years. In that time they had to redefine the company every few months. I went through 4 different restructuring of managers and division direction. At one point I changed jobs internally. I trained my replacement for a week. One after I couldn't find her, so I called my former manager to see what was going on. She apparently walked out the door because the company was so terrible. She didn't even turn in her equipment. She just left it and walk. I couldn't blame her. HR complaints fall on def ears. They don't care at all about how you are treated including harassment or retaliation issues. And once you leave, every new employer has trouble verifying anything in background checks with DXC because they refuse to respond to anything.

Pros

+ Smart, collaborative colleagues + Fully remote (work from home) + Lots of opportunities to learn new things and work on different projects + Good work/life balance if you're willing to set firm boundaries (and your leadership abides by those boundaries) + Company culture has improved since Salvino became CEO

Cons

- Company strategy is all high-level: no details; no concrete plans to fill in those details; little understanding of how the strategy and lack of details/plans affect employees and customers - Continual layoffs: teams are being cut to the point that they can't function and are then cut more for non-performance; those who remain have constant survivor guilt - Salaried US employees haven't had raises in years; lots of talk about changing this but no action; many of the employees who came from HPE haven't had raises in >5 years - Managers are afraid of the L2/executive level, to the point where they're afraid to bring up problems and concerns; this exacerbates the issues and creates a culture of fear - Feeling like you're constantly treading water and not getting anywhere

Pros

There are quite a few small to medium size projects to work on. You will be learning a lot from those engagements from requirement gathering, workshops with client, process mapping to quality assurance.

Cons

Managers keep setting false expectations and micro managing all the team members on a regular basis. They talk about great initiatives and bright company outlook but unfortunately nothing is real. They put all the company methodologies on slides but nothing is ever executed properly on projects. They get you to spend time setting up individual development plan but it gets thrown to the trash bin straightaway. They appraise you and give you great rating over performance review but then tell you salary increase is not possible.
