Pros

Understand that DXC has several practices across the globe. Some might be ok and some are simply the worst. Several of the reviews here are about other divisions. A few good people but the few left are leaving.

Cons

This practice's reputation now proceeds them. The company is so bad that they have to conduct internal campaigns to recruit people to write positive reviews to improve their rating on this site. This has to be the worst churn and burn consulting organization in North America. Senior and executive management hires junior staff and puts them on complex projects with little to no guidance then blames them when the project exceeds budget or the client is dissatisfied. Al their projects exceed budget and some have been taken over by the Microsoft consulting team. The practice has little to no documented project process or procedures so they rely on the customers to tell them what to do and are constantly in reactionary mode. Clients have no confidence in their ability to deliver a project so the client leads the projects and the consultants are required to go along regardless of best practice. They have a couple of designated staff members who are paid to do nothing more than meet with clients on a regular basis and try to fix broken projects. The practice is so bad that the entire HR department left. There is little to no budget for training, benefits are bleak, no annual increases (they don't believe in them), senior and executive management is callous while pretending to care. Anyone paying somewhat attention can easily see through the rhetoric. So called bonuses are paid inconsistently. They work hard to find ways not to pay them. The business model is built on rapid hire and massive annual layoffs. It’s so bad that even the bad employees are now looking for other opportunities.

Pros

The only pro is the people below the VP level who truly care about other people and about the client. I encourage them to get their resumes out and leave.

Cons

The executive leadership of this company does not care about people or the client and they are destroying the business. Layoffs are in the 10s of thousands, across the globe. They don't care if they lay off people who are critical to delivery of the services to the client. In short, they don't care about the client at all, nor about what they are contractually obligated to do for the client. And this is why DXC is losing many clients to competitors. So to potential clients, I warn you as well. You will not get good service, not because the people left don't want to give it, but because there are simply not enough of them left to deliver what has been promised. The vast majority of people in North America have not received raises in years. Bonuses are a thing of the past unless you are in sales. The cost of benefits has risen and the benefits themselves are less, primarily because DXC's leadership is paying less and less of their share of the cost. If you work here, you've been essentially taking a pay cut every year, since there were no raises and your costs kept going up. Jobs posted internally are for the most part not "real". Leaders aren't allowed to fill them as they are given limits on how many people they can bring in to a particular industry or region. So you apply only to find out the job is "vapor". Some credit used to be given in the past to your proven abilities to take on new areas of responsibility. Not so anymore. You can't move up. They'll go external first. Mike Lawrie does not care about any of you. He only cares about lining his own pocket. He is driving the company into the ground.

Pros

opportunity to work from home

Cons

low salary, no raises, no bonuses, no money for training, benefits are not good, massive layoffs/WFRs (especially in the US) - some with same-day notification, poor severance package, focus on cost cutting, jobs being moved to low-cost locations, long work hours
