Good name to have on CV, met some great people here.
Pros
You can work remotely from anywhere.
Cons
If you are a driven salesperson that wants to progress in their career I would generally avoid. If you are a Junior sales person looking to learn you won't receive hands on training to become good at sales, if you are an experienced salesperson you will be frustrated at the career path here as it is very strange. There wasn't a single month in my time here where there weren't changes made to our metrics and qualifying criteria to make life more difficult. When you are joining as an SDR you are told about the possibilities of becoming an AE, when you join the organisation and you're made aware of the career path it becomes clear that you need a minimum of 12 months in your role, before being moved into a different SDR department where again you need a minimum of 12 months. Not to mention that these time based promotions are often delayed due to "headcount" so in many cases "on paper" you are looking at a minimum of 2.5-3 years to be eligible for an AE promotion. The reality however is the UK team barely promote from within, whenever an AE position becomes available they recruit externally. Barely any of the UK AEs were SDRs at Deel so you quickly realise that there is no real room for progression here, which is evident in their staff turnover. The way the career path is set out here is the most nonsensical approach I have personally seen in my career. I met some good people here and made some friends, the sales function has grown out of their control though and they really don't know what they're doing.
