One of the best jobs I ever had - miss the Deel speed ⚡️
Pros
Being fortunate to have worked for some of the biggest logos like Facebook or Uber, I can tell that the growth, culture and people working at Deel are on par with these logos. People/Culture: you get to work with some of the best tech talent out there; a quick LinkedIn research tells you that Deel hires people with experience and who know what they are doing; on top of that, despite being a fully remote company, the engagement between different departments and teams is amazing, with a true #oneteam mindset! Speed: one day someone will probably trademark "Deel Speed" and make a case study out of it; the speed to which Deel operates is insane - new products, new processes, reacting to world events, all of this while facing unprecedented hyper growth in the industry and without jeopardising the customer experience; Trust: being a customer support agent, a recruiter, a sales person, a Director of something or a VP of something, everyone trusts you, period; the level of empowerment and trust that everyone in the company has is inspiring and makes Deel employees owners of the company Trustpilot reviews and the best support team in the planet: I'm biased because I was part of the team doing Support, but this is one of the best teams I have ever managed! The talent, passion and willingness to leave no issue unsolved and making sure people get paid on time is one of the core mottos of the support team and the reviews/customer feedback back that up; Mission: you get to work for a company that is empowering opportunities to people all over the world; more than providing customers with ways of hiring globally and compliant, Deel is indirectly (or directly) creating job opportunities in countries/regions where there is a scarcity of job offering; being able to work on a product that changes lives is powerful and one of the things I most enjoyed about this job! Customer Obsession: I could give a lot of different examples that show how customers (and their contractors/EOR employees) are at the heart of how Deel operates and builds products/processes, but instead I'll ask you a question; how many companies do you know that have their CEO and COO talking to customers, hearing their feedback and fixing their problems? Exactly!
Cons
One of the nicest things about Deel is the transparency - and that starts at the moment people have the first interaction with the company at the recruiting stage. Throughout the interview process, there is a lot of emphasis on the values and the current state of affairs - fast growth company, intense and operating at a speed that many have never experienced before. That said, Deel is not for everyone and that is OK - I'd love to be a football player but unfortunately I'm really bad at it, so I just need to deal with it and not criticise the sport itself when I'm not a fit, period. So all in all, if you're up for a ride of your life, this is for you! If you want something stable with minimum change and at snail speed, then Deel is not for you.
